We are a small, family farm and poultry slaughterhouse, managed full-time by husband and wife owners/operators Joseph-Étienne and Clare, and our eleven, wonderful (and sometimes exasperating) children. We began our small farm ventures in 2002, with the purchase of our home, barn and land. In 2003, we bought additional acreage for future expansion. Over the years, with many blessings and graces, we have invested our time, labor and financial resources in building our U-pick fruit and all-natural poultry farms. In 2006, we constructed our inspected and licensed poultry slaughter facility to process our birds. With a growing demand for our all-natural poultry, and an increased demand for processing birds from others, we built our new, larger slaughterhouse which is inspected and approved by the Maine Department of Agriculture. In 2014 we formed a Limited Liability Company for the farm; Sunnyside FamilyFarm, LLC/Ferme Ensoleillée Familiale, Ltée.

While our farm is important to us, of greater importance is the cultivation of a strong, stable family life founded in the Christ’s Church, wherein, our eleven children may grow in faith, wisdom, and virtue. Cultivating this life is not easy; Just about as easy as motivating kids to do farm and school work. Yet, by the Grace of God, our efforts will strengthen our family and foster children that bring Christ to the world.
